Istanbul Youth Summit (IYS), organized by the Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB) Foundation, is a remarkable program designed to foster the spirit of young leadership and groom exceptional future leaders. Through an ethical approach to education, IYS focuses on instilling a sense of nationalism, character values, and appreciation for global cultures among the youth.
At its core, the Istanbul Youth Summit transcends being a mere gathering of young leaders from diverse backgrounds; it is a platform for them to exchange their experiences and insights on how they can protect and empower youth in their communities. The YBB Foundation, committed to youth development and empowerment, continually innovates in various youth activities to build a consistent and strong youth character.
Since 2017, YBB has been organizing the “Youth Education and Entrepreneurship Summit (YEES!)” in Istanbul, which has gained significant traction among young people. Now, YEES! carries forward its warm and impactful edition to the Istanbul Youth Summit.
IYS is a valuable opportunity for young leaders to learn about social development strategies that can lead to tangible changes for the progress of their countries. The summit focuses on four sub-themes, encouraging critical thinking about social development strategies related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Health (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being), Education (SDG 4: Quality of Education), Economy (SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth), Environment (SDG 13: Climate Action), and justice (SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions).
